WiFi, is quickly evolving. That's why you have the emerging alphabet soup of 802.11 protocols: 802.11b was first, offering network speeds of between 1 and 11Mbps. Now 802.11a is on its way, promising to offer speeds of 54Mbps. And 802.11g is forthcoming, too, offering speeds slower than "a" but faster than "b"--and compatible with "b," too....
