Nimda worm could re-propagate on Friday

RESEARCHERS SAID THURSDAY that the Nimda worm could repropagate within 10 days of its first occurrence, meaning that companies should be on the alert on Friday. Virus researchers at the Attack Registry and Intelligence Service, sponsored by SecurityFocus, a San Mateo, Calif.-based security firm, have found a new e-mail propagation vector in the worm that could reinitiate the worm's ability to spread within Microsoft networks and Web servers using Microsoft's IIS software....
