The August release of WAP 2.0 doesn't appear to be changing analyst's minds about the current prospects of mobile commerce. Check out why 'faster, faster' has been replaced as a salvation-mantra for mobile technology with 'useful, useful.' When Scott Goldman, CEO of the wireless industry's WAP Forum announced the Aug. 1st release of version 2.0 of the roundly criticized Wireless Application Protocol (WAP), he termed it "a bridge to the mobile Internet's true potential." But listening to the comments of several industry analysts, that bridge is quickly becoming irrelevant....
