Govt. Experts Rally ISPs To Fight Code Red Worm

Internet security leaders are using an ambitious plan to fend off the Code Red worm that involves contacting every U.S.-based Internet service provider to alert them which of their customers have been infected by Code Red. "We are cautiously optimistic that the impact of the infection stage of this particular variant of the code red worm ... has been minimized," said Ronald Dick, head of the FBI's National Infrastructure Protection Center (NIPC), at a press conference late this evening at FBI headquarters in Washington, D.C....
