New language could speed up the web

A new web programming language, created to streamline complex web content by merging the functionality of different programming languages, was commercially launched at the Software Development Forum in Palo Alto, California on 6 August. The new language is Curl. Its creators at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology claim that the fledgling technology can speed up the delivery of applications over the web by up to 10 times. It is said to combine the simplicity of web typesetting tools such as HTML with complex web programming languages such as Java....
