Flaws Found In Key Wireless Protocol

A new paper reveals several weaknesses in the underlying cipher that provides security for the 802.11 wireless LAN protocol, one of which could enable an attacker to find a user's secret key in about 15 minutes. The end result of the new research, according to the authors, is that "we show RC4 is completely insecure in a common mode of operation which is used in the widely deployed WEP protocol."...
