http://chronicle.com/free/2001/08/2001081701t.htm University of Michigan's Departing Information Chief Backs Outsourcing for Computing Needs By FLORENCE OLSEN After five years as the chief information officer for the University of Michigan at Ann Arbor, José-Marie Griffiths is leaving for a research and teaching position at the University of Pittsburgh. Beginning in September, Ms. Griffiths will join the faculty of Pittsburgh's School of Information Sciences and will become the first director of the Sara Fine Institute for Interpersonal Behavior and Technology. The institute provides a forum for scholars to study aspects of the human experience with technology. She's also working on a book that will examine the evolving role of the C.I.O. in higher education....
