One effort toward bridging that gap is taking place at the Center for Learning Technologies in Urban Schools (LeTUS) in Evanston, Illinois, where researchers and teachers are working together to develop technology-rich science curricula. The center, funded by the National Science Foundation, is a joint project among Northwestern University, the University of Michigan, and the Chicago and Detroit public school districts....
