Welcome to Kamyar's Home Page

I am an associate professor of computer science at University of Illinois, Springfield Campus. My areas of interest include Distributed Computing, Web-based Application Development, and Web Design. I have conducted research in image compression algorithms and Performance Evaluation in Network-based Parallel Computing.

I regularly teach graduate and undergraduate courses in computer science which include courses such as Java Network Programming and Object-Oriented Design (using Java and UML).
