Hi! I am John Snyder, an online degree program
coordinator at the University of Illinois at Springfield. I was born here in Springfield, and lived here almost all of my life,
with the exception of eight years in Taiwan.
I have a B.A. in History from Sangamon State University, 1986, with a minor in secondary education, and did graduate work in education and economics, and earned the Master Onine Teacher certificate from the U of I. I have worked as a teacher for 10 years, a banker for 5 years, a carpenter, financial analyst...now I am very happy to be back full time in higher ed. I coordinate both the online Mathematical Sciences (B.A.) and the online Human Services (M.A.) programs at UIS. We have interesting and enthusiastic students across the U.S., in two U.S. territories and four other countries.
