Submission Guidelines
The UIS College of Education and Human Services will publish an electronic journal highlighting faculty, AP, and student research each fall and spring semester, beginning Fall 2007.
The Journal will include the following types of submissions:
Student research:
Undergraduate papers. Graduate papers, including Outstanding Theses.
These items will remain the property of the author.
Faculty and AP research:
Each faculty and AP in EHS is eligible to have one submission published every two years. This restriction may be waived under special circumstances by the editorial board.
Voluntary Peer Review: Papers may be submitted for blind peer review. Papers being considered for publication elsewhere must acknowledge this.
Special Presentations: The Journal will also include a special presentation of faculty and AP research. This can include papers, abstracts, examples of scholarly writing, and opinion pieces. These submissions will not be subject to voluntary peer review, and ownership will remain the property of the author(s).
Listing of Faculty Presentations: A list of papers presented by EHS faculty and AP’s at state, national, and international conferences will be included.
Publication Dates:
Submissions for the initial Journal are due no later than November 9, 2007. They may be sent as an attachment through e mail to Larry Livingston, Chair, EHS Research E Journal, to llivi1@uis.edu. Submissions on CD may also be delivered to his mail box in Brookens 338.
Following the initial issue of the Journal, submission deadlines will be:
October 15 for the Fall edition, and April 1 for the Spring edition.
